The Pilates Studio at SportsMed NQ offers Clinical Pilates instructed by a Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist who have completed training in the area of Clinical Matwork and/or Equipment Pilates. SportsMed NQ provides private, semi-private or group class options starting with back pain or beginners sessions advancing through to level three classes.

Prior to the commencement of a Pilates class, a one on one real time ultrasound assessment is completed with a qualified Pilates therapist to ensure you understand the principles of Clinical Pilates and most importantly, guarantee you are correctly engaging your core muscles to effectively reach your goals.

Strengthening your core muscles through Clinical Pilates can aid in the improvement of lower back pain, posture, strength, flexibility, balance, stability and body awareness. Further benefits include stress management and relaxation.

IMG_2775_1Clinical Pilates can assist in the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries safely as our qualified instructors have the knowledge, skills and expertise in appropriate interventions and are flexible within a class environment to tailor an exercise to meet the needs of an individual.
